Narrow "trumeau" mirror in Louis XV style. Wood and gesso frame has many fine details including a ribbon along the top, scallop shell and gadroons between the mirrors and flowers and long leaves all around. The entire frame is finished in gold leaf. The round portion probably once held some artwork--a print or painting--but has been replaced by a mirror. MADE by/ for Friedman Brothers Decorative Arts, Inc. (possibly in Italy). MARKINGS: FB label on back as shown. Measures: 14" x 47" x 1.5" Excellent pre-owned condition. No damage to glass or frame found. less
