Kutani Satsuma Eggshell Geisha Girl Tea Set From the late 19th century until 1950’s the Geisha girls dishes were everywhere. One would see them in stock at most stores, being used as give away items for events or supermarket promos. It was also less commonly referred to as Kimono Lady Ware. There were over 125 patterns made but all featured Japanese women in brightly colored kimonos surrounded by nature or temples. These items were all hand painted until 1920. Pieces like these are older and can be identified as such by the solid border surrounding the pieces This lot comes with 3 tea cups; 2 red 1 blue, small pot without lid, Pitcher for creamer and and sugar bowl with lid. less
