We couldn’t pass this gem up at a local auction. It is solid as a rock, and we loved the clean simple lines of this mid-century wood slat bench. After cleaning off decades of dust and grime, we were pleased to see the original finish was still in great condition. There are no manufacturer markings to be found, and after researching a little online, the wood could possibly be beech. Other similar benches have been listed as “George Nelson Style” but we can’t confirm that information. Measuring 60” wide X 17” deep X 16” high, this beauty could be used in many areas. It would be great in an entry way or mud room, it would make a fantastic cocktail table, or placed at the foot of a bed as a catch all, to name a few.
